Overview:

The role of a Security Engineer requires strong technical skills in areas such as network security protocols (e.g., TCP/IP), firewall configurations, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), encryption algorithms, vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus), SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk), scripting languages (e.g., Python), and incident response frameworks (e.g., NIST). Additionally, they need problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, analytical thinking skills, and the ability to work well under pressure to effectively protect organizations from cyber threats in today's rapidly evolving technology landscape.

Security Engineer          Skills
